I've reset the iPod a few times (Menu/centre button), but that hasn't changed anything. If I try to eject, it won't let me, so I've ended up shutting down the Mac and then removing the cable - after I did that once, I noticed all my music had gone, but apart from that the iPod itself looks fine. appears in Finder and it then hangs indefinitely - I've had it connected like this for several hours and nothing happens. When I connect my iPod appears in Finder and if I go to System Info, it also shows there - however it gets to a point where Software: Loading. On a Mac, itunes will complete DFU but restore throws a 1430 (sometimes 1431) error.4. There are about 200 reallocs but both options in the disk diagnostic show results. Diagnostics show the drive to be healthy. The disk itselw shows in disk management, but cannot initialize or format the drive.2. After the restore it would like to restore again. However, when the IPOD reboots, iTunes wants to restore. Windows: Placed the IPOD in DFU mode and completed recovery.
